<p>Planning travel to a country where vaccination is required or recommended? I provide travel vaccination consultations in Warsaw for English-speaking patients, including expatriates, diplomats, students and visitors, covering the vaccines most often needed for international travel and the pre-travel health assessment that goes with them. Details on that vaccine and the certificate it comes with are on the <a href="/en/yellow-fever-vaccination-warsaw">yellow fever vaccination</a> page.</p> <h2>Medical qualification</h2> <p>Before any vaccine is given, I review your itinerary, planned activities, length of stay, medical history and current vaccination status. This qualification consultation determines which vaccines are relevant to your specific trip and whether it is medically appropriate to give them that day. Consultations are available in English, either in person at the clinic or online.</p> <h2>When to schedule your visit</h2> <p>The World Health Organization generally advises a pre-travel health consultation four to eight weeks before departure, and the CDC recommends allowing at least a month, since some vaccines take time to become effective or are given as part of a multi-dose series. If your departure is closer than that, a consultation is still worthwhile - contact the clinic to discuss timing for your specific trip.</p> <h2>Yellow fever certification</h2> <p>As an authorized yellow fever vaccination centre, the clinic issues the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP, sometimes called the "yellow booklet"), which is required for entry into certain countries or when transiting through them. General infectious-disease and hepatology consultations are offered for children from age 6; younger children are referred to a paediatric infectious-disease specialist.</p> <h2>Practical information</h2> <p>Consultations are conducted in English. A Polish PESEL number is not required - a passport or residence card is sufficient for registration. Prescriptions and medical certificates are issued on site. Payment is accepted by card, bank transfer or BLIK, at the same prices offered to Polish patients. Appointments can be booked in advance of arrival in Poland. Stefana Żeromskiego 55/67, in the Bielany district near Żoliborz, a short walk from the Słodowiec and Stare Bielany stations on metro line M1.</p> <h2>After you return</h2> <p>Fever occurring after travel to a tropical or subtropical region should be assessed by a physician promptly.
